A cast of three actors will provide a “Respect in the Workplace” training program in sexual harassment awareness and diversity. These actors will dramatize real-life situations of discrimination and harassment in the workplace. The audience will then be invited to suggest ways the various situations can best be handled, then alternative behaviors will be demonstrated and evaluated. Each scenario is followed by guided audience discussion conducted by an experienced facilitator - managing director Geoffrey Scheer - to underscore the lessons learned. The program is presented with drama, humor and good taste to keep the audience engaged and focused throughout the presentation.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the importance of diversity and harassment training – it’s the “right” thing to do (moral, ethical considerations) and it’s the “smart” thing to do (legal and financial implications).

2. Recognize discrimination in its many forms (race, gender, age, sexual orientation, etc.) and underscore benefits of diversity and inclusion.

3. Demonstrate different forms of harassment (hostile work environment, “quid pro quo”) and emphasize dangers of such behavior.
