Learning Technologies:  The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Technology has completely changed our lives – including the way we learn. Schools are moving from textbooks to tablets, companies are moving from in-person training to virtual or video training, and most information can be looked up instantly on our smartphones. What impact are these tools and trends having on our learners, and how can we best use them?

Ross Ian Vance has studied the impact and effectiveness of learning technologies, and will be sharing findings from his doctoral research. If your company is hiring Millennial and Gen Z employees, you won’t want to miss this fascinating perspective of how these employees are used to learning. We may even see demonstrations of these technologies in action, so bring your sense of humor and prepare to engage!
